The future Nissan Leaf will be Sun Powered - kind of. The Japanese auto maker, supplying EV and hybrid vehicles to Peters Nissan of Nashua in Nashua, NH has teamed up with SunPower.

If you haven't been to the Big Apple lately, you might not know that a fleet of hybrids have joined the ranks of NYC cabs. Hybrids, however, were just the first step. Mayor Bloomberg's ultimate plan is to have a pure-electric cab system up and running by next year. As such, the city will be piloting a fleet of six Nissan LEAF EVs, starting early in spring 2012.
